The International Foundation Program of Meiho University of Science and Technology aims to promote international education by providing overseas Chinese and international students with a comprehensive learning and academic progression pathway. The program adopts a “1+4” study model, in which the first year focuses on Chinese language preparatory courses to help students build a solid language foundation and adapt to the learning environment, followed by articulation into four-year bachelor’s degree programs. Currently, the program emphasizes enrollment in Nursing, Tourism, and Hospitality-related fields, with curricula integrating theoretical knowledge and practical training to develop students’ professional competencies and workplace readiness, thereby enhancing their future academic and career prospects.
